I have some exciting news to share that will positively impact healthcare for women throughout the world. Hologic announced recently that their 3-D Digital Mammography (Breast Tomosynthesis) System has received FDA approval and can now be used to tremendously improve clinical performance over conventional mammography.

This new technology dramatically improves specificity which enables physicians to more confidently rule out cancer without having patients come back for additional tests and also improves the ability to more accurately localize targeted structures within the breast.
